Amco Drilling Mauritania is currently operating two UDR650 Wheel Mounted Multipurpose Drilling Rigs at the Tasiast Gold Mine in Mauritania. Drilling commenced in 2008 and included 20,000 metres of reverse circulation exploration drilling and 3,000 metres of core drilling.

Work continues at the mine during 2009 on a 12 month contract for both rigs on reverse circulation exploration drilling and grade control drilling on a 24 hour 6 day per week working pattern.

The Tasiast Gold Mine, which is owned by Tasiast Mauritanie Limited S.A., part of the Red Back Mining Group, is situated in the north western desert region of Mauritania approximately 300km north of Nouakchott.
